User Guide Norton Power Eraser

·         First download Norton Power Eraser and click on Save.

·         After that choose the location and then click Save.

·         And to run Norton power Eraser, click twice on the NPE.exe file

·         If any confirmation User Account Control window prompts, then click Yes or Continue

·         Now read the license agreement, click on Accept. Checks for Norton Power Eraser and downloads the latest version if presented.

Run Scan

1.      In Norton Power Eraser window, click on Scan for Risks icon.

2.      And then by default, it will start performing a Rootkit scan but this needs a system restart. Then click Restart while you see a prompt to restart your PC.

Since if you want to comprise the Rootkit scan, then go to Settings and remove the check mark the option and include the Rootkit scan (that needs a PC restart).

3.      Wait till the scan completes.
